In the production of aluminum strips, there are often problems with the edge breakage, causing difficulties in the processing of downstream processes. 1 Milling amount
1.1 Milling Plan Test Plan
The test was conducted on six 5052 aluminum alloy coils for production. The ingot used a trapezoidal ingot. The cross-section of the ingot is shown in Fig. 1. The ingot size is 600×1320×3450 mm. The milling requires three large ingots. The milling amount is not less than 11±1mm, and the surface of three large ingots is no less than 15±1mm, and the side milling amount is the same. After heating with the furnace, the rolling process conditions were the same, and the surface peeling was observed. The test results are shown in Table 1.
1.2 Analysis of results
According to 5052 different milling amount than the final skin condition, it shows that simply increasing the amount of milling can not solve the problem of stripping the edge of the aluminum strip. The large surface single-side milling amount 10mm-15mm has segregated the surface of the normal ingot. The tumor, cold septum, slag inclusions, etc. are milled. According to the defect position and milling surface analysis, the reason for this batch of peeling should be due to the indentation of the large surface of the ingot furnace and the furnace.
2 milling angle
2.1 Test Plan
Test 3003 alloy coil test, face milling the same amount, the side of the milling angle adjustment and comparison, the other process conditions are the same, observe the surface peeling. The face milling position of the face milling is shown in Figure 2, Figure 3. The ingot specification is: 580×1320×4050mm. The milling surface requires 4 ingot numbers 1, 2, 3, and 4. According to the schematic diagram, the milling facet is shown in Figure 2. The milling surface requires 4 ingot numbers 5, 6, and 7 8, follow the schematic diagram in Figure 3 for milling facets.
2.2 Test Results and Analysis
In the same furnace heating, other process conditions are the same continuous rolling, follow-up test results are shown in Table 2.
According to the condition of peeling, it can be determined that the milling surface according to Fig. 2 is superior to Fig. 3 in controlling the peeling. The main reason is that the contact surface between the small surface and the material pad is different in the ingot furnace. Figure 4 shows the contact between furnace pad and ingot. It can be seen from the schematic diagram that the ingot of the facet is milled in accordance with FIG. 3 and that the ingot is in contact with the ingot. In the heating furnace, the contact between the ingot and the material mat can be scratched, and the peeling occurs after severe rolling. Of course, this is also related to the thickness of the ingot, because the width of the pad is fixed, and the thicker the ingot, the farther away from the surface of the ingot the contact with the pad. This is why some ingot specifications are more prone to peeling.
3 Roller lubrication and clean production
3.1 Test plan
Respectively track and verify the lubrication conditions of the roller path of the hot rolling mill, the oil used for milling the surface of the ingot, and the clean-up treatment before the furnace, and check whether the roller surface lubrication is used or not, and whether the surface of the ingot surface is clean before or after the furnace is compared. .
3.2 Test results and analysis
Hot roller lubrication is better than using emulsion lubrication, and the condition of peeling is obviously lighter and less. The main reason is that the roller lubrication is not used. The aluminum alloy plate is soft at high temperatures. When the roller is in contact with the roller, it is easy to produce sticky aluminum and damage the surface of the plate. Continuous rolling will result in peeling defects caused by sticky aluminum.
Carefully clean the surface of the ingot before installing the furnace is much better than unclean, and the condition of peeling is obviously lighter and less. Mainly because the site environment is generally poor, there will be aluminum dust, large particles of dust and foreign matter attached to the surface of the ingot, not timely cleaning, subsequent rolling will produce peeling. The use of lubricating oil in milling machines is generally a lubricating oil that is frequently replaced. The degree of cleanliness cannot be guaranteed by itself. When the amount of oil injected is large, aluminum chips and foreign materials are more likely to be adsorbed.
4 Conclusion
In order to solve the problem of peeling, the effect of increasing the amount of milling is not obvious and has little significance; changing the face milling angle has an effect, but the actual production is difficult to achieve, for example, the 1 series aluminum alloy does not mill facets, and the face milling angle is too large. resulting ingot mat stand instability, there is the risk of dumping ingot; a reasonable choice ingot size will have some effect in accordance with the width of the mat; strengthen the clean production, to achieve good lubrication roller, careful operation, no bump hurt to solve The peeling effect is remarkable, and the burr on the edge of the ingot must be handled cleanly.
In short, the problem is solved skinning critical to ensure that the ingot being lifted, the transfer roller, the transfer mat, spindle turning machine during operation or the like ingot surface clean, no bump injury; when oiled roller mill; selecting appropriate Ingot specifications.
