On April 7th, a delegation from the Department of Physics of Zhejiang University went to the State Key Laboratory of Superhard Materials at the School of Physics of Jilin University to visit Cui Tian, Dean of the School of Physics of Jilin University and Director of the State Key Laboratory of Superhard Materials, and Party Committee of the College of Physics, Jilin University. On behalf of the college, Zhou Qiang expressed his warm welcome to the delegation.

At the exchange meeting, Zheng Bo, director of the Department of Physics of Zhejiang University, expressed his sincere gratitude to the enthusiasm of the School of Physics of Jilin University and hoped that the exchange would be a complete success. Cui Tian reviewed the exchanges and cooperation between the physics departments of the two universities and detailed the current experience in the administration of colleges and laboratories.

Zhang Hanzhuang and Wang Wenquan, deputy deans of the School of Physics, introduced the experience of discipline construction, top-notch talent training, and science talent training base construction. After discussion, the two sides reached a consensus on substantive teaching and scientific research cooperation at the college level, both of which indicated that this exchange will definitely promote the development of their respective school physics disciplines.

During the visit, the delegation also visited the Physics Experiment Center of Jilin University and the State Key Laboratory of Superhard Materials.

Steel poles are commonly used to carry several types of electric power lines, distribution lines and lighting system.  Distribution lines carry power from local substations to customers. They generally carry voltages from 4.6 to 33kV for distances up to 30 miles, and include transformers to step the voltage down from the primary voltage to the lower secondary voltage used by the customer. A service drop carries this lower voltage to the customer's premises.
