US Air Force Develops Flexible Hybrid Materials Electronic Technology

At the 250th American Chemical Society (ACS) National Conference recently held, the Air Force Laboratory at Wright-Patterson AFB in the United States demonstrated their latest flexible hybrid materials technology. Researchers believe that in the future, ultra-thin flexible high-performance electronic products will gradually replace rigid printed circuit boards, which are of great use in military and daily life.

The laboratory, Dr. Benjamin J. Liver, said: "This hybrid electronic technology can fully integrate traditional flexible electronic components, high-performance electronic products and emerging 3D printing methods to integrate metals, polymers and organic materials. To 'Ink', the entire system is electronically connected, and with this technology, silicon integrated circuits of several hundred nanometers thick can be made, making them plastic-like, flexible, bendable or even foldable substrates. ”

Li Weier introduced that in order to allow the electronic device to be bent or stretched after assembly, the Patterson team used a liquid bismuth alloy as an electrical interconnect material. He said: "Although these liquid alloys can be oxidized to useless materials in a matter of minutes, the team found ways to reduce the oxidation process." The ultra-thin foldable material produced by the special method allows the circuit to fit well. The material space even integrates into complex curved surfaces such as airplane wings or human skin.

In an aircraft, this hybrid flexible system can be used to monitor pressure and stress; through a miniature embedded antenna, pilot health information can be reported to ground personnel; wearable biosensors measure heartbeat, sweat levels, temperature, and other vital signs. At the same time, indicators of fatigue and potential cognitive problems can be measured in real time.

Li Weier revealed that another military application was to place it on the "Bunker Buster" bomb. Preliminary tests showed that the flexible circuit could keep active and detonate weapons after the bomb was released from the aircraft and in contact with the ground.

In daily life, Livier predicts that this flexible electronic system can monitor the construction conditions of bridges and other infrastructure in real time; in medical applications, athletes can be fed back with physical indicators during training or real-time monitoring of vital patient vital signs. Flush Plate

The flush plate is an essential component of a concealed installation system that remains visible to the user. Fabia, a brand that pays great attention to design elements and reliable functionality, offers a range of flush plates with different designs, materials, colors, and finishes. These flush plates not only serve as switches for flushing but also provide access to the hidden water tank for maintenance purposes.

Fabia manufactures flush plates primarily using three materials: ABS plastic, stainless steel, and glass. Each material offers unique aesthetic and functional characteristics to complement the overall bathroom design. The choice of material depends on the customer's preference and the desired visual appeal.

In terms of functionality, flush plates can be categorized into three types: mechanical (manual pressing), pneumatic, and sensor-based. Mechanical flush plates require manual pressing to initiate the flushing process, providing a traditional and tactile experience. Pneumatic flush plates utilize air pressure to trigger the flushing mechanism, offering a touchless operation. Sensor flush plates use advanced technology to detect the user's presence and automatically activate the flushing system, providing a convenient and hygienic solution.

The majority of flush plates available on the market are dual flush panels, which allow users to choose between two flush volumes based on water consumption. Typically, a short flush consumes around 3 liters of water, while a long flush utilizes 4.5 to 6 liters. The dual flush button design is the most common type of flush plate, ensuring both economic and environmental savings by promoting water conservation.

In a word, Fabia's flush plates are designed to combine functional efficiency with aesthetic appeal. By offering a variety of materials, designs, and functional options, Fabia enables customers to select the flush plate that best suits their needs and preferences while promoting water-saving practices and enhancing the overall bathroom experience.
