Working closely with partners in the value chain, Saudi Basic Industries has accumulated extensive experience in foaming technology and developed a proprietary, diverse foam portfolio that is suitable for almost all industrial applications. The company is now introducing its SabicPP-UMS resin line.
Saudi Basic Industries' foamed plastic resins are used in a wide variety of applications, including PP (polypropylene) foam for automotive parts (above) and foamed plastics for food packaging (below), and for Heat pipe insulated LPDE (low density polyethylene) foam (bottom). Saudi Basic Industries also stated that it has generated considerable interest in the development of a mixture of LDPE and POE and POPs (polyolefin elastomers and plastomers).
It is said that Saudi Basic Industries' new resin is unique in the market, its melt strength is greater than 65cN, and it has excellent foaming properties. According to the supplier, it can be used by all industrial sectors as building blocks to develop new foaming solutions to achieve unprecedented levels of lightness.
