Inner Mongolia promulgated 2012 annual implementation plan for the "12th Five-Year Plan" for comprehensive prevention and control of heavy metal pollution

Recently, the General Office of the Government of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region issued the "2012 Implementation Plan for the Twelfth Five-Year Plan for Integrated Prevention and Control of Heavy Metal Pollution in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region". The "plan" clearly stated that in 2012, the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region will issue classified environmental management policies for key prevention and control areas and non-key prevention and control areas, implement comprehensive management, and complete 30% of the target tasks for heavy metal pollutant reduction during the "12th Five-Year Plan" period. Above, the completion rate of key projects listed in the National and Autonomous Region “Planning” has reached more than 30%, and the national and regional key prevention and control companies have met the standards for the discharge of heavy metal pollutants, the key heavy metal pollutants in the centralized drinking water source protection zone of the city, and the surface water country. The key heavy metal pollutants in the control section reached the standard, and the heavy metal pollution in the autonomous region was effectively controlled.

In 2012, the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region plans to launch 26 projects for the prevention and control of heavy metal pollution, including 17 pollution source comprehensive treatment projects, 6 clean production projects, 1 livelihood emergency protection project, 1 technical demonstration project, 1 repair project. One technical demonstration project was completed; 16 projects were planned to be completed and accepted; 8 projects lagging behind in backward production capacity; and 1 capacity building project completed.
