According to reports, at present, more than 95% of the high-end CNC system market and 80% of the mid-end market in China are still occupied by foreign brands, and the situation is quite severe. "Although some domestic CNC system manufacturers have basically mastered multi-axis linkage, RTCP (rotary tool center point) three-dimensional tool compensation and other technologies, the high-end CNC system developed by them can meet the needs of some users, but compared with foreign products, in technology There is still a big gap in the level." At present, some key common technologies and application technologies of China's CNC system industry have not yet made breakthroughs, resulting in a large gap between reliability and foreign products, which in turn affects the brand name effect of CNC systems. The low brand effect leads to low market demand, thus forming a vicious circle of “less used, worse; less bad, less used”.

After a series of interviews, the reporter found that compared with foreign high-end products, low reliability has become the biggest weakness of domestic CNC systems. And this low reliability is not unrelated to China's electronics industry. "Because China's electronic infrastructure industry has a large gap with foreign countries, the reliability of China's CNC system is quite different from that of foreign countries. For example, the reliability index of foreign high-end CNC systems has reached an average of 2000 hours without failure. The index of China's CNC system only reached 500 hours, which caused the machine user unit to distrust the domestic system." Chen Qiang, chief engineer of Axter Information Technology Co., Ltd., said in an interview. Duan Jiaxuan, a mechanical industry analyst at CIC, also said that the new generation of CNC systems will use higher-integration circuit chips, using large-scale or ultra-large-scale dedicated and hybrid integrated circuits to reduce the number of components and thus improve reliability. In addition, the completeness and serialization of the product are not enough, which is the main reason why the overall quality and performance of the domestic CNC system is difficult to further improve. It is understood that advanced enterprises such as Siemens and FANUC produce complete sets of CNC system equipment and have certain exclusiveness.

At present, the development trend of CNC systems is high-speed, high-precision, multi-channel control, dual-axis synchronous control, and research and development of fieldbus technical specifications and standards.

At the same time, the serialization and complete set of functional components such as fully digital servo drive, electric spindle, linear motor and torque motor that are urgently needed for high-end CNC systems are also important development directions. If the domestic CNC system wants to seize the high-end market, it is necessary to seize the time and work hard to seize the next round of technological opportunities.

3D CAD application to strengthen the ERP market prospects
In addition to the continuous deepening of information technology used in the machine tool industry, the information technology construction of machine tool manufacturing enterprises is also crucial. At present, the digital design level of China's machine tool enterprises is relatively high. For example, more than 60% of the product design of Shenyang machine tools has adopted 3D CAD (Computer Aided Design) software. The 2D CAD has reached 100%, and more than 50% of the subordinate enterprises have used CAPP. (Computer-aided process design).

However, as far as the whole industry is concerned, Jin Guowei, deputy chief engineer of Shanghai Machine Tool Works Co., Ltd. said that there are not many enterprises applying 3D CAD/CAM, and there are fewer enterprises implementing CAD/CAPP/CAM integrated applications. The level of 3D CAD/CAM application has been greatly improved in recent years, but there are few applications such as structural optimization calculation and simulation design.

However, compared with design informatization, the level of management informatization is relatively backward. Applications such as ERP, SCM (Supply Chain Management), and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) are still immature, and there is still a big gap between the electronics industry and the automotive industry. "At present, there are not many enterprises that fully implement ERP. Although financial management and inventory management are still relatively mature, production planning management and cost management are still weak, especially production management, workshop operation planning management and financial management integration. Not high," said Niu Mengyu, a consultant at Shenyang Machine Tool Co., Ltd.

In addition, the low degree of automation in production assembly is also an indisputable fact. Of course, the characteristics of the machine tool industry itself also determine that its information construction is more difficult than other industries.

In an interview with reporters, Niu Mengyu said that the machine tool industry is a typical “processing--assembly” type of discrete manufacturing industry. Its product structure and manufacturing process are more complicated, and the types of machinery and equipment and fixtures required for the manufacturing process are numerous. Diversified production technologies (both order-based production, inventory-based production, and order-assembly production and order-engineered production) have led to complex information technology in the machine tool industry.

Similar to the CNC system, in the above-mentioned information construction of various links, it is still the top product of foreign products. For example, in the field of 3D design software, some products in foreign countries are relatively more powerful in performance and function. Although 3D CAD/CAM software has broken through localization, product technology needs to be improved in terms of parameterization and flexible design. Some complicated surfaces The shape is still difficult to achieve, and the degree of integration of CAM-CNC needs to be improved.

In addition, China's management software is not as good as foreign products in dealing with emergencies, and software development and design are not considered adequately. "China's self-developed management software has little difference in the main management functions compared with foreign countries, but domestic software is not considered enough in some functional details. Therefore, in the case of special circumstances, foreign software is easier to deal with. In fact, from the perspective of software scale, we can see this point. There are more than 20,000 database tables in SAP's ERP software, and domestic software is much less." Niu Mengyu said.

Niu Mengyu also suggested that domestic ERP developers should try to take 70%-80% of their energy to consider and solve the special situation of the company when developing design software products. Although these special cases account for 10%-20% of software applications, they are crucial, and the consequences are quite serious. In addition, there is still work to be done in enterprise modeling, optimized planning methods (such as APS), business process management, and system implementation methods.
