Refined oil prices may increase by 300 yuan/ton

The business agency reported on February 17th that the time window is approaching again. The increase in domestic refined oil prices seems to be a foregone conclusion.

“According to relevant standards, when it comes to the price adjustment window, it will surely be adjusted. According to the current domestic situation, there is a great possibility of upward adjustment.” Yesterday morning, Dong Xiucheng, vice president of the School of Business Administration of China University of Petroleum, said in an interview with this reporter.

On February 15, although the price of crude oil on the New York Futures Exchange fell to US$84.81 per barrel, the North Sea Brent crude oil **, which has a higher correlation with domestic refined oil prices, rose to US$103.08 per barrel, setting a record of 28 A new high this month.

According to the "Oil Prices Management Measures," when the average price of international crude oil changes for more than 4% for 22 consecutive days, domestic refined oil prices can be adjusted accordingly. On February 14th, the rate of change in the price of crude oil in Brent, Dubai, and Sinta was more than 10%. Therefore, market analysts generally believe that the price adjustment this week is very likely.

“The upward adjustment rate is not predictable, but it may be appropriately reduced based on the current inflation situation. For example, it should have been raised by 500 yuan per ton, but it has only been increased by 300 yuan per ton.” Dong Xiucheng said that the rate of increase will definitely take into account the inflation factor.

However, some experts believe that based on factors such as price stability and the upcoming “**”, the price adjustment of refined oil will be postponed to “**”, which will be around the end of March.
