Premonition of electrical fires and attention to cigarette butts causing fire

During the operation of the electrical equipment, the fuse was suddenly blown, and after the fuse was replaced, either a closing or blowing occurred, which indicates that there are hidden fire hazards in the circuit. This is one of the calls. It may be that the line is overloaded or that there is a problem with the line connection. The cause of the fuse should be immediately identified, and the failure should be eliminated. Do not increase the load on the fuse face or replace it with other steel wires or iron wires. Leakage of electrical equipment, poor insulation is the second sign of fire.

Therefore, a test pencil should be prepared to constantly detect the leakage of electrical equipment. The normal operating electrical equipment has a similar external surface temperature to the human body temperature. When touching the housing of the electrical equipment by hand, if there is a feeling of hot hand, it indicates that the equipment is not operating properly. This is the third sign of fire. After the power is turned on, it is not normal for the electrical equipment to work properly. If it is not a weak junction, it may be the line that was interrupted. This is the fourth sign of fire. In recent years, the number of smokers in our country has continuously increased.

Statistics show that in 2003, the number of smokers in China has reached 320 million, and the number of youngsters smoking continues to increase. Statistics from the Beijing Municipal Fire Bureau show that only 10 of the fires caused by cigarette butts in Beijing in the first quarter of this year were killed, which accounted for 43.5% of the total number of fire deaths in the first quarter. These figures are sufficient to explain the harm of smoking from another aspect. While advocating people to choose a healthy lifestyle, we also provide some fire prevention tips for smokers:

1 After smoking, cigarette butts should be placed in an ashtray, squat, or on the ground to confirm that no sparks can leave. Do not throw cigarette butt, especially if there are more flammable combustibles around the outdoors. Otherwise, the cigarette butts that are thrown away may cause fire due to contact with flammable materials such as wind blows, kicks, etc. Because the surface temperature of cigarette butts is very high, it can reach 200-300°C, and the center temperature can reach 700-800°C. The burning point of combustible substances is mostly below the surface temperature of cigarette butts, such as paper 130 °C, pine 250 °C.

2 If the lighted cigarette does not absorb, do not leave it in a random place and put it in an ashtray after it has been annihilated.

3 Do not smoke while repairing a car or cleaning auto parts.

4 Do not smoke in crowded public places or places with obvious signs of no smoking.

5 Do not smoke in beds, sofas and mosquito nets, especially if you are not allowed to smoke in bed after drinking.
