Pickling method for maintaining the ratio of copper to zinc on the surface of brass parts

Practice has shown that brass parts want to obtain the ideal oxide film in the ammonia oxidizing solution. The ratio of copper and zinc in the alloy must meet the requirements of the process, that is, zinc is 30%~40%, and copper is 59%~ 68~, to maintain the surface state of this component ratio is difficult to achieve by the general pretreatment method, pickling in nitric acid or its mixed acid, if the process conditions are not noticed, the brass surface will be dezinced or decoppered. Losing the original ratio causes difficulty in the formation of an oxide film, and sometimes it is impossible to form an oxide film. If a chromic acid is used, a passivation film is formed on the surface, and a replacement layer may be produced by other pickling.

In order to solve this problem, after a variety of methods of testing and comparison, the following formula was selected, the pickling effect was good, and there were no side effects.
