Chemical protective clothing - use

Unless otherwise specified by the manufacturer, it must not be exposed to open flame or in an environment where the ambient temperature is higher than 50 °C . (3) Firefighters should select chemical protective clothing according to the type and concentration of chemical substances at the disposal site.
(4) Chemical protective clothing should be used together with personal protective equipment such as respirator, and pay attention to the following matters:

(5) Chemical protective clothing that has reached the number of scheduled decontamination times shall not be used for duty.
(6) Adaptability training for wearing chemical protective clothing should be carried out at ordinary times, and qualified units should be equipped with auxiliary equipment such as cooling vests.
(7) Chemical protective clothing on duty shall not be used for daily training.
Chemical Protective Clothing - Maintenance
(1) After the chemical protective clothing is used, it must be decontaminated according to the nature of the chemical according to the decontamination procedures. One of the following situations can be directly used for decommissioning:
1. Contact with unknown chemicals;
2 , contact with serious pollution;
3 , clothing has a bad smell;
4 , exposure to toxic chemicals;
5. Exposure to carcinogens, teratogens, skin absorption materials, etc.;
6 , there is visible physical damage;
7 , tear, penetration, coloring, deformation and so on.
(b) Apply a soft cotton cloth (cotton yarn) after every use to wipe off the sweat, remove the surface sediment and dirt, wash with soapy water or 0.5 % -1 % sodium carbonate aqueous solution, then rinse with clean water, put in a cool Ventilate upside down and dry.

Chemical protective clothing - inspection and maintenance
(1) The fire brigade equipped with a Class I chemical protective clothing must be equipped with an air tightness test equipment for chemical protective clothing.
(b) The fire squadron shall organize an inspection of chemical protective clothing on duty every month and after each use. The inspection includes:
1. Is there any damage, stickiness, adhesion, or extension?
2. Is there any obvious fading and irreparable wrinkles and aging?
3 , whether the sticker is open plastic, connecting parts are solid;
4. Whether the protective gloves and protective boots are in good condition and can be effectively connected with the chemical protective clothing;
5. Whether the transparent window is defaced, cracked or discolored;
6 , zippers, nylon fasteners, buttons and other fasteners are intact.
7. Is there any residue or chemical residue that cannot be easily removed?
(3) The fire brigade shall organize the airtightness test on the primary chemical protective clothing, and the airtightness test shall be carried out after each use of the primary chemical protective clothing. The chemical protective clothing that has not been used for a long time shall also be airtight. Closeness testing, testing cycle can not exceed six months, and test conditions for the record. Failure to pass the test shall not be used. The testing personnel must be trained by the manufacturer before testing.
Chemical Protective Clothing - Retired
Chemical protective clothing shall be decommissioned in one of the following situations:
(1) The chemical protective clothing has been in full service for five years from the date of production (manufacturers who have special instructions may follow the manufacturer's requirements);
(B) The occurrence of aging affects normal use;
(3) The phenomenon of adhesion, discoloration, elongation, breakage, etc. occurs on the surface and cannot be repaired;
(D) used disposable chemical protective clothing;
(5) It is unsafe to assess the number of decontamination times;
(6) The outer layer is affixed with easily-removable stains and chemical residues, affecting normal use;
(7) It cannot be repaired if it fails to meet the standards;
(8) Other must be retired.
