Hegong University of Materials and Materials held the second "Graduate Academic Innovation Activity Month"

The purpose of the “Graduate Academic Innovation Activity Month” of Henan University of Technology is to further guide graduate students to establish scientific research integrity, cultivate graduate students' innovative spirit and innovative ability, and create a strong academic atmosphere. On April 28, 2016, the School of Materials held the “Masters Forum” for the second “Graduate Academic Innovation Month” event. Five postgraduate students made the theme of "PcBN saw blade preparation and performance research", "microwave method for preparing low temperature high strength ceramic bond CBN abrasives", "resin CBN abrasive belt preparation technology", "α-SiO2 high pressure phase transformation preparation" Academic report on high-performance nano-cobalt quartz and quartz crystal polycrystals and "copper-based prealloyed powder for diamond tools prepared by coprecipitation method". In conjunction with the current research topics, the students reported on the research status, development direction, research content, progress and application prospects of related fields at home and abroad. The report content is not lacking in the hotspots and frontier issues of current material science research, and has certain academic value. The teachers and students also conducted extensive discussions and exchanges on the contents of the report, broadened the academic vision of graduate students, and made some suggestions for future research work.
The “Material Frontier Lecture” of the 2nd “Graduate Academic Innovation Activity Month” was mainly to invite industry experts inside and outside the school as the keynote speakers to report on the status quo, development direction, research hotspots and frontier issues of new materials. On April 26th, Professor Hou Yongchang gave a report on the Application and Development of Superhard Material Ceramic Abrasives. After the meeting, the postgraduate and the presenter interacted on some interesting issues and the atmosphere was lively.
Through a series of academic activities, the graduate students present have a deeper understanding of the frontiers, research hotspots and development directions of the new materials field, and at the same time broaden their horizons. Through exchanges with experts and doctors, they have a deeper understanding of their own professions and are full of expectations for the future development of materials.
