Lead matte is a by-product of blast furnace smelting and crude lead-fire refining, and it is generally more difficult to handle. At present, lead matte copper is usually processed by fire method in large enterprises, which is blown in a converter to obtain blister copper, and then further refined to obtain electric copper. However, this method has low metal recovery rate, long process flow, high operating cost, Problems such as serious environmental pollution. And this method is difficult to miniaturize. The lead lead copper production of general lead smelting enterprises is limited and cannot be processed by the above method, so they have to be sold as copper raw materials to copper smelters for pyrometallurgical extraction of copper, but this contains higher value. The metals such as lead and silver cannot only be priced as impurities. On the contrary, the priced copper contains a variety of impurities, which lowers the pricing coefficient, and the economic benefits are not high. On the other hand, if the enterprise accumulates for a long time, it will cause environmental pollution and capital backlog. The wet atmospheric pressure leaching, because of the low leaching rate, limits its development. Therefore, it is imperative to develop a new process for comprehensive recovery and deep processing of matte copper.



In order to break through the bottleneck of lead matte copper processing, the company set up a project team to research and develop the pressurized oxygen soaking method for comprehensive recovery and deep processing of matte copper. This project can not only solve the problems of serious environmental pollution and low copper recovery rate in the existing technology. And it can also create more economic benefits.

The technology of directly extracting copper cathode from lead matte copper is to process the lead matte copper by using the pressurized acid immersion method. This process uses pressure acidic leaching of copper in lead matte copper to form a copper sulfate solution, while metals such as lead gold and silver are left in the slag. The copper sulfate solution can be directly electrodeposited to obtain qualified cathode copper products, and the leached slag can be returned to the fire smelting The lead system recovers valuable elements such as lead, gold, and silver. The process is a clean metallurgical process, which basically has no external pollution and almost no pollution to the environment. It can achieve selective leaching of metals. It has a short process flow, high comprehensive metal recovery rate, and can be large or small in scale. It has strong practicality. And strong adaptability to scale and raw materials. After nearly five years of research and improvement by the company's research and development center, it has undergone small and medium tests, and finally formed the "oxygen pressure leaching-cyclonic electrolysis" technology to process lead matte copper.

At present, after the project has been formally put into full production, it can produce 5,000 tons of cathode copper products, 1,500 tons of lead metals and 10 tons of silver, which will increase the company's profit by 50 million. The technology of this project has broad application prospects, and its comprehensive promotion in the industry will bring billions of economic benefits to the industry.
