Based on the electroless plating of nickel and phosphorus, the micro- and nano-diamond chemical composite plating process was studied. The effects of electroless plating solution, diamond type and concentration, surfactant type and content, and heat treatment temperature on the microhardness of the coating were investigated by orthogonal test. The results show that the factors affecting the hardness of the coating are diamond type, surfactant type, heat treatment temperature and surfactant content, while the plating solution type and diamond concentration have little effect on the hardness of the coating. The best process is: diamond is nano-diamond ash powder, anionic surfactant is added, heat treatment temperature is 350oC, surfactant content is 1:10, electroless plating solution B is selected, diamond concentration is 6.0g/L.
