Comparison of aerosol cans at home and abroad (abstract)

Since the 60th century, when Shanghai tried to detect aerosol aerosols used in aerosol products and other products, after nearly 45 years of development, China has become a major producer of aerosol cans, and its output has ranked among the top four in the world. Do not compare with foreign counterparts after ranking first. Finding the difference through comparison is positive.

I am not a person in the canning industry and I now compare some of the 10 aspects related to aerosol cans from an onlooker perspective. As an outsider knows little about this line and does not know much about it, there are errors and omissions. Please add, correct, and criticize.

1 Production

The aerosol cans produced by China in the United States, Britain, Germany, Argentina, and Japan in 2006 are shown in Table 1.

Table 1 Production of aerosols in major aerosol producing countries in 2006

Unit: Billion Cans

Horse cans iron and aluminum cans

United States 31.8593 7.4676

United Kingdom 7.1678 6.2361

Germany 5.6400 6.0000

China 9.2900 1.7948

Japan 3.3200 2.2640

China's per capita aerosol cans are about 1/180 of that of the United States.

2 uses

The use of aerosol cans in China and the United States, Britain, Germany, Argentina, and Japan is shown in Table 2.

It can be seen from the table that aerosol cans in China are mainly used for insecticides, automotive care products, paint aerosols, car care products and paint aerosols, while other countries use personal care products (deodorant perspiration, hair spray/rubber). Silk, shaving foam/gel) and household aerosols. From the comparison, it is found that the variety of aerosols in China is relatively simple and the surface to be used for aerosol cans is relatively narrow.

3 Specifications

From the perspective of pressure resistance of aerosol cans, the minimum deformation pressure of aerosol cans in China is 12 bar, while the minimum deformation pressure of European aerosol cans is 12 bar, 15 bar, 18 bar, and high pressure cans. The US Department of Transportation The provisions are: ordinary cans, 2P cans, 2Q cans and high pressure tanks. From the perspective of pressure resistance of the tank, the aerosol cans in China are relatively single and it is difficult to adapt to the needs of different products. From a side, there are potential safety hazards.

4 cans

The aerosol cans produced in China are mainly concentrated in single-piece cans (aluminum cans) and three-piece cans (tin cans).

Aerosol canisters produced in foreign countries include monolithic cans (aluminum cans, tinplate cans), two-piece cans (tin cans, aluminum-iron composite cans), and three-piece cans (tin cans). (photo)

In addition, there is a tank with an overpressure relief device in foreign countries. In the United States, it is used in high pressure tanks. When the pressure in the tank exceeds a predetermined value, the pre-set weak spots in the tank will crack and relieve pressure. This prevents the explosion in the tank when the pressure is too high.

5 pot shape

The aerosol cans produced in China are almost cylindrical in standard cans. The shaped cans are small in shape and yield is extremely small.

The canning and production of various special-shaped cans in foreign countries are continuously increasing, and it has become an important means for the promotion of some aerosol products. It includes a barrel pot, an expansion tank, an embossed tank, and a composite shaped tank that has the characteristics of rolling, embossing, and expansion. (photo)

The quality standard of canned cans is the same as that of ordinary cans, and the price is about 10%-15% more expensive.

6 Printing

Most of the aerosol cans in China use traditional printing methods. In recent years, the “wide color gamut, high-fidelity printing technology” has come out in the China Food Co., Ltd., which still needs to be promoted. In foreign countries, the printing of cans and canning of cans are taken seriously as an important means of attracting customers' attention. Both attention to the visual effects of printing and attention to haptic effects. For example, some aerosol cans in Japan are delicate in feel, like children's smooth and delicate skin; some cans have raised patterns after printing; French Impress uses wrinkle paint on aerosol cans to give people a sense of novelty. In addition, the application of plastic labels has an increasing trend. Plastic labels are used not only for necking three-piece cans but also for aluminum cans. In the United States, plastic labels account for approximately 10% of aerosol cans.

7 Production

Most of the production lines of the backbone enterprises that produce aerosol cans in China are imported from Europe. The production speed is fast and the degree of automation is high. When the specifications are changed, the equipment adjustment time is short.

The latest foreign production lines are faster and more automated. For example, the US Department of DSC K produces tin-coated iron two-piece aerosol cans. The two production lines can produce 1200 cans per minute. The main technical parameters of the products are 100% online inspection. There are a total of 35 people in such a company. The shape and performance of the cans produced by them are like aluminum aerosol cans, but their prices are similar to those of tinplate aerosol cans.

8 cans

Although China has imported several production lines that can produce lighter aerosol cans, it still produces traditional aerosol cans.

In foreign countries, reducing the weight of cans is an important goal. For example, equipment factories represented by Germany and Switzerland reduce the weight of tin cans by adding processes, changing mold designs, and using different hardness materials. Lanico and Styner-Beinz's equipment can reduce can weight by about 10%-15%. Representing the United States in the development of lightweight tanks, the process can be changed and the tank weight can be reduced by about 35%. Of course, lowering the tank weight is achieved without affecting the quality of the tank.

9 Material

The aerosol cans produced in China are still traditional aluminum and tinplate materials. The materials of foreign aerosol canisters are also changing quietly, and composite cans are in production. For example, in the United States and Japan, an over-molded iron, including a tin-free aerosol can is used as an aerosol can. In France, Boxal manufactures aerosol cans consisting of tin can lids and aluminum can bodies. (photo)

10 Recycling

The recycling of waste aerosol cans in China was completed by the mobile workers of rubidium waste. No one knows the specific recovery rate.

The yield of European packaging iron increases year by year.

Japan has done a lot of investigations and experimental work on the safe recycling of waste aerosol cans. The relevant laws are being brewed.
